Alta Saturday 22nd

We have had heavy winds and severe snowstorms so far.We had to miss out one of our stops due to poor visibility. Still we are enjoying the experience.We've met some interesting people and the scenery,when we can see it is beautiful . Alta is a quiet place ,the cathedral is very modern with a stunning bronze model of Jesus.People come here to see the ice hotel and ride huskies but we are not doing that . We are going on a trip to see the Northern lights tonight ,fingers crossed .

Day 4
Well we are in Alesund Norway . Difficult and expensive to get wifi on ship so in library after climbing 419 steps up to see the panorama of city and harbour. Very beautiful.  Will finish blog when I get back Phil. Hoping to see Northern lights tomorrow having fun so far and not too cold

Off Tomorrow

I'm really excited to go on my first proper cruise with my friend Gill. We leave Tilbury tomorrow afternoon for Amsterdam and then Norway. We hope to see the Northern Lights.
